Congratulations to Mrs. Mary Beth Ross. She has been a teacher in Avalon and Stone Harbor Schools for 30 years. In that time she has earned the respect of all the administration, staff, parents, and students who have come into contact with her. She is a true team player and is irreplaceable when it comes to her commitment to both the Avalon and Stone Harbor Communities. Her third grade class participates in the Avalon Garden Show, works with the Stone Harbor American Legion, and she invites all stakeholders and community members from Avalon and Stone Harbor to her annual President’s Day project where her 3rd grade students show off their public speaking skills in front of 100+ people. This event amazes all!
When you ask her colleagues how they would describe Mary Beth here is a few things they say: Mary Beth is passionate about the teaching profession. She teaches to each child’s individual needs and interest. Her students are engaged in every lesson. Mary Beth truly loves what she does. She invests long hours after school to plan the perfect lessons, attends every Board Meeting, and creates a family dynamic in this school that is unlike any other. Mary Beth puts her heart and soul into her work and it shows!
