Current Laboratory Confirmed Cases of COVID-19
in the School Community
Last updated 01/05/2022
Communication of Confirmed COVID-19 Individual
1. Individuals identified through contact tracing as being in “close contact” with a laboratory confirmed COVID-19 person in school will receive a direct phone call from school staff. Recipients of this “close contact” letter must quarantine at home for 10-14 days (based on county-wide level of transmission) from the date of exposure, practice social distancing, and monitor for symptoms.
2. After close contacts are notified, school administration will notify all students, staff, and parents that there is a laboratory confirmed COVID-19 case via ParentSquare. Information will also be posted on this website. Recipients of this general notification require no further action and may continue with normal daily routines.
“Close Contact” is a person who spent 15 minutes or more within a 24-hour period and was within 6 feet of a person who is infected with COVID-19. Exposure must happen while the infected person is infectious (2 days before onset to 10 days after). Exception: In the K–12 indoor classroom setting, the close contact definition excludes students who were
within 3 to 6 feet of an infected student where both
the infected student and the exposed student(s) correctly and consistently wore well-fitting masks the entire
time.
If you have a trip planned during the school year, please notify the Main Office for current travel guidelines.
