The Parent Teacher Committee is a network of families, students, teachers, administrators, and business and community leaders devoted to the educational success of the students and the promotion of family engagement in schools. The AV/SH PTC plans, operates, and funds all of the after-school programs, teacher/staff appreciation programs, end-of-year scholarships, and enrichment programs.
The PTC encourages parents and guardians to be actively engaged in their children’s education and to help provide additional resources and programs to all families. AV/SH PTC Board Members are required to be actively involved in the planning, fundraising, and execution of our (2) main events, The Halloween Carnival (Fall) and the Spring Soiree (Spring). In addition to these main events, Board Members must also chair an event committee, source additional parents to help execute the event and attend the monthly scheduled meetings. There are approximately 24 PTC-scheduled events during the school year. A committee for each event will be formulated based on parent signups from back-to-school night.
